John AngelopoulosΜονολεκτικα, εκπληκτικη! Ηρθαμε Αγγλια πριν απο 7 και χρονια. Ο Α ηταν τοτε 5 χρονων, μιλουσε ωραιοτατα Ελληνικα αλλα δεν ηξερε να γραφει η να διαβαζει. Καναμε φυσικα το λαθος να βαλουμε ως προτεραιοτητα το να προσαρμοστει στην Αγγλια και να μαθει τη γλωσσα παραμελωντας τα ελληνικα του. Ευτυχως πρυτανευσε η λογικη του πενταχρονου και μας απαγορευσε να μιλαμε αγγλικα στο σπιτι. Μονο Ελληνικα! Καποια στιγμη βρεθηκαμε σε καποιο ελληνικο σχολειο το οποιο δυστυχως λογω ελλειψεων προκαλεσε συγχυση και εκνευρισμο (καποιος, λογω ελλειψης δασκαλου, εκανε μαθημα χρησιμοποιωντας google translator...). Ευτυχως λιγο αργοτερα μπηκε στη ζωη μας, στη ζωη του Α, η Στεφανια. Μια καταπληκτικη προσωπικοτητα και εξαιρετικη δασκαλα! Απο το πρωτο κιολας μαθημα ο Α δεθηκε μαζι της (πιστευω το σημαντικοτερο) και προσαρμοστηκε γρηγορα στον τροπο διδασκαλιας της. Η Στεφανια δειχνει απιστευτη ευελιξια κεντριζοντας το ενδιαφερον του Α καθε φορα, προσαρμοζοντας το μαθημα στις αναγκες και στις αδυναμιες του Α, ακομα και στο πως ειναι η διαθεση του, εχει απιστευτο ενθουσιασμο, χιουμορ και ιωβια υπομονη! Το αποτελεσμα ειναι ενθουσιασμος απο την πλευρα του Α να συμμετεχει στο μαθημα και αυτο αντανακλαται στη σταθερη (και γρηγορη) προοδο του. Ο προφορικος του λογος εχει βελτιωθει απιστευτα, διαβαζει πλεον αρκετα ανετα και εμαθε να γραφει με σχετικη ανεση. Θα τελειωσω οπως ξεκινησα, μια εκπληκτικη Δασκαλα!!
Colin DixonI've been studying Greek for many years, and have until recently been living there. My goal is not just to keep my skills sharp but to keep improving. It's important to me to be able fully to comprehend and participate in all levels of Greek conversation, to read widely and to enjoy movies, books, podcasts etc like I do in my native English. I need a mix of spontaneous conversation, revision of formal grammar and vocabulary, and discussion of authentic everyday speech, so my needs are quite complex. I'm glad I found Stefania. She's creative, flexible and above all has real authority in language teaching. She is always prepared, ready with clear explanations and stimulating ideas, gently guiding and informing while letting the lesson flow. My Greek is an important part of my life and identity. I take it seriously, and I'm happy to share it with a teacher I really trust.
